How about a little glass work to start your day?
These artists are magical. I can’t believe what they can do. And I’m jealous. In a good way, of course….
Glassworks is one of my favorite Creative Crafts. I hope you enjoy these artists as much as I do.

Some are so awe inspiring, … and the skill involved? Amazing, …I’m a ‘butterfingers’ so for safety sake I’d stay well back and just look, admiringly …✨

Carol & Niyuko…WOW!!!
Have you studied any form of glass work? I’ve blown glass (kiln), fuzed glass, and done glass mosaic and stained glass. I love ’em all!!

That’s amazing! No, I’ve never tried blowing glass. Not even remotely. Do you have pictures of what you’ve done? Id LOVE to see your work!

I never had a blown piece survive. I once made a nice 8″ wide vase but hit the side of the kiln on my last pass. I have a paperweighf from the kiln work, and all the smaller crafts but they’re spinkled throughout my blog. Maybe I’ll make a page for my crafts!

Do it! I just started watching a show on Netflix called Blown Away — a blowing glass competition. Wow doesn’t cover it. Amazing doesn’t, either. They are sooooo good!

Search for a … PBS?…special about Chihuly. He led 7 days of blowing projects by multiple artists (he apparently can’t do the work anymore for health reasons). Their works are stunning, esp given the unusual ‘directions’ by Chihuly.

I will look around for it! That would be interesting.

Thats really pretty! Do you still own it?

Yep, still have it… though not sure whete I put it. It’s prettier IRL… swirling red glass trapped inside clear glass.
I know where I can yake a class in mini glass blowing (using a torch), but it’s extremely overpriced.

So many classes are, these days. Sometimes it’s hard to be able to advance on your own.

Fabulous. Such incredible work. I would break everything and be terrified to be around the delicate pieces.
