Barcelona-based artist Cinta Vidal is a Catalan artist renowned for her mind-bending, gravity-defying murals and paintings that challenge our perception of space and architecture.
Her artworks are a surreal exploration of the environmental impact of industrial areas and the myriad ways we interact within architectural spaces.
Vidal paints intriguing household interiors where gravity no longer behaves as expected.
Rooms tilt, ceilings become floors, and figures continue their routines across impossible architectures, reading, sleeping, eating or sitting in silence while the world around them rotates.
Vidal ’s compositions often unfold like fragmented apartments viewed from multiple orientations at once, with each section following its own logic.
Rather than treating inversion as a visual trick, Vidal uses shifting perspectives to suggest how closely people can coexist while inhabiting very different emotional or psychological spaces.
All are fun places to live, work, and visit.
