In the mind’s eye, a fractal is a way of seeing infinity.
~~James Gleick
.
A fractal is a never-ending pattern.
.
Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales.
.
They are created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop.
.
Geometrically, they exist in between our familiar dimensions.
.
Fractal patterns are extremely familiar, since nature is full of fractals.
.

Hi Elise, Could you please tell me where did you find the image of the fractal number 3 from top to bottom? I would appreciate if you could tell me thanks a lot!

I used to teach about fractals years ago. I took a seminar about them (and chaos theory) back in college, when they had just become a thing to talk about. They simultaneously fascinate me and give me the hives from the bad memories of that class. LOL
