English artist Richard Stainthorp captures the beautiful energy and fluidity of the human body using wire.
Wire is not automatically what one would consider as a ‘material’ for creating solid, three dimensional sculptures.
But Stainthorp has been making wire sculptures since 1996.
The life-sized sculptures feature both figures in motion and at rest, expressed in the form of large-gauged strands that are densely wrapped around and through one another.
Stainthorp also allows the bent wires to shine by keeping their metallic appearance free from any obvious painting or additions.
The breathtaking spirals add a depth to these structures made of thick-gauged strands that are densely wrapped around and through one another.

Thank you! I think they are so impressive. Smooth and yet tangled; love them.

Indeed. And yet so smooth. I can’t imagine working wire into something like that.

But it came from your account, with your profile pic and everything. Plus, since it was a direct message, it means I would have to follow the account. So if you didn’t send it, I think it means a spammer has access to your account. I’m not sure if you need to do more than change your password though.

I received the same thing from a twitter follower. I am thinking its a scam. I hate when i follow a link like that.

Say, I just wanted to let you know I received a direct message on Twitter from you saying “Who unfollowed me?” followed by a link. I’m not sure you actually sent that. If not, maybe someone hijacked your account. I didn’t click the link in case it is a spammer, but if it was you, then I’ll check it out. I just wanted to confirm first, because it seemed fishy, and I wanted to let you know someone might have hijacked you. If it’s not you, I’m not sure how you solve it. Just change your password maybe?
