    1. Thank YOU! I would love to see all of these in person. We have monarchs and the CLoudless Sulphur (or something similar) and a really pretty brown one with a small patch of orange on its wing. I’m sure there’s lots more that don’t come close to the house. Many of the ones I picked look so exotic — nature is grand, isn’t she?

    Off topic: NHK World Japan is re-running their 2012 profile of Yayoi Kusama, the polka dot artist. It was really interesting. I didn’t know that she had, by choice, she lived in a mental care facility in Japan for the last 50+ years… pretty much only leaving to paint at her studio.

      1. Absolutely!!! I have a butterfly raised bed with dill(sacrifice it to swallowtail caterpillars who feed on it) and marigolds and zinnias. Mine partially self seeds but there’s always room for more zinnias!!
