Bill Barrett (-1934) is an American sculptor, painter and jeweler.
He is considered a central figure in the second generation of American metal sculptors and is internationally known for his abstract sculptures in steel, aluminum and bronze.
Barrett earned a B.S. and M.S. in Design from the University of Michigan, and later an M.F.A. from the same institution.
Barrett’s sculptures of fabricated aluminum, bronze or steel address the interplay between positive and negative space with grace, elegance and exquisite balance.
His innovative use of materials and forms has inspired countless artists and reshaped the landscape of contemporary art.

He really is. I think it must be harder to do free flowing art than painting a given landscape. Such smooth lines in such heavy metals.
