Where Are We Going?

I found this image somewhere on my wanderings, and am contemplating putting it on my front stairs going up to the deck. I’d just change some of the destinations.

Here’s my list (I tried to stick with the pic as much as possible).

Where would you go?

Hogwarts – 9-3/4 miles

London – 3,902 miles

New York – 890 miles

Shangri la – 7,510 miles

Tatooine – 235 light years

Area 51 – 1,317 miles

Machu Pichu – 4,001 miles

Bangkok – 8,471 miles

Deadwood – 878 miles

Atlantis – 5,532 miles

Paris – 4,089 miles

  1. When my oldest son ( Air Force) was deployed to Diego Garcia, there was a similar sign on the beach, pointing to places around the world. DG is a small island in the Indian Ocean. Half is British naval base and half is US airstrip. I guess that’s what you do when nowhere meets nowhere.

      1. He was 19 and mechanic on the B52 that were used to bomb during “shock and awe”. Thank you Bush. He slept in a tent 50 yards from the ocean and 50 yards from the runway. He snorkeled and had a good time in his time off. His main complaint was the crabs who were endangered and they’d become aggressive.
