I’m Okay

It’s one of those days. It’s been one of those days for the past several days.

Not much happening.  I finished my burst of artwork creativity — I’ll be posting my fabulous (???) abstract whatevers very soon. Otherwise it’s been the usual boring housework/plantwork/nothing-good-on-TV kinda week.

Do you have these kind of boring forays between bursts of creativity?

Part of me thinks I should be pumped up every day. After all, I am alive and awake every morning — a blessing, to be sure. Part of me thinks I’m over 70 and I’m entitled to slow down now and then. More now than then. Part of me wants to sleep all day.

I guess that’s what the gap between Fall and Winter is all about. That murky, cloudy, kinda rainy cold weather that creeps around before really cold weather and snow move in.

One positive achievement today is that I’ve spent the day reading others’ blogs. So many interesting wonderful people out there. That’s important these days, too.

On days like today I tend to research my ever-expanding list of unique artists that I want to share with you. The list never ends. And that’s what carries me along through these day-to-day blahs.

Creativity — and energy — is always around the corner. Sometimes all you need to do is find it.

What are you all up to?

  1. These cold, rainy days do take a toll. It’s been easier to curl up with a book than to write a book. But this will pass. Like you said – it’s just that kinda week.

I’m ready to start knocking out the words though and will formulate a plan for that this weekend. 🙂

    1. I really am envious of you — I haven’t written a novel in quite some time, and I miss the passion and madness in creating worlds and situations and perfect grammar. Maybe it’s time I come up with a new idea, eh? I read your book “Murder Under Construction” years ago and I loved it. I think it’s time to catch up on your writing ten years later!

      1. Book #10 in my murder series is with my proofreaders now! They are very keen to show me I don’t have perfect grammar! 🙂

I’ve already started #11. I can’t believe I still have ideas for these characters.

And you are right! There is madness in creating these worlds and these characters – and adding new ones. Get back on the horse and write another! I know you can do it!

  2. Sometimes I go in bursts as well. Up half the night making things and then sometimes I just walk away and do other things or read. But I love the bursts that can last days and time just slips by without notice.

  3. I am glad you are doing okay, even if you’re not feeling full of energy and vibrancy at the moment. I myself have been puttering along, just making small projects for myself, doing some yard work, reading some nice cozy fiction. I look forward to seeing what artists you share with us! 🙂
