Blogs today will be filled with New Year aspirations, resolutions, regrets, and pronouncements. New Year, New Change, New Chance, New Beginnings, blah blah blah.
Trying to always be one step above and ahead and in a seperate dimension from other New Years Day blogs, I’m going to post pictures of what New Years Day was like 100 years ago.
1924.
I feel like I’ve been around since 1924.
But I digress.
For those of you who have to work New Years Day, here’s to you. I’ve worked many NYDays. Drink your juice. Carry on.
For the rest of you, have a cup. Get the fuzz out of your head. A new year awaits! Tomorrow…..
.

What fun these are! I really got a kick outta Miss 1924! Very risqué!!

Thank you! It was fun and informative. I love the image of Miss America — before everyone got so glammed up!

I love these! The hair on miss America 🙂 The cover for The Thief of Bagdad is gorgeous. And I never knew there was a cruise liner called “Belgenland”. I looked it up and it cruised from Antwerpen to New York. As a Belgian that’s interesting to me. Thank you for your interesting and inspiring curations. And Happy New Year!

I love the old pictures. My mom was born on Christmas Day in 1928. She would have been 95. This was her world. I hope 2024 will be kind to you. xo

Oh… how I hope it will be good to you, too. All this garbage floating around on the surface — there is so much goodness just underneath. If people would just LOOK.
