Michael Lonfeldt is an artist hailing from Odense, Denmark, who creates lively abstract paintings with bold colors and strong contrasts.
His interest in painting as an artist begins in 2005 when he used painting as relaxation from everyday stress.
Using only acrylics, the artist lets the paint speak for itself, with countless small details that take quite a bit of time to create.
Because there are exciting lines or interesting color combinations that can be a good starting point for a beautiful painting, he often get ideas for motifs while traveling by foot, car, or bicycle.
Many artists use notebooks for their designs, but Onfeldt prefers to use a camera or cell phone to first capture interesting moments.
“Emphasis is placed on the colors being clean and clear, regardless of whether they are sharply separated or whether they flow together and form new color nuances,” shares the artist.

I really love the colors in these photos.

That’s what caught my eye. He said he likes acrylics because they are brighter — he knows how to make use of them, that’s for sure!

That is true. Some are much brighter than others it seems. They often dry rather flat looking.
