European culture loves ceilings.
I have never seen as many ornate ceilings in my life as I did on my vacation to Paris, Rome and Florence. A trip of a lifetime, a dream come true.
But enough nostalgia. Take a look at some of the ceilings I took pictures of while I was over there. And please realize I’m not a real live photographer…

It took me 50 years to be able to take my dream trip — lots of crummy days working that’s for sure. You are younger — opportunities are more available for you to go check out your dreams. I hope I have a lot of years to go through my bucket list!

I almost got tired of taking pictures of ceilings — every room had one that was more spectacular than the previous!

You got me at “tombs” but never delivered on the promise 😊. I spent 3 weeks in Italy back in 2003 and did observe lots of painted ceilings, including the Cistine Chapel. Those ceilings stand as a good example of what you can accomplish if you don’t waste your time on a smart phone. 😉

Ha! I’ve got a couple of those too! Not as many as ceilings or doors … every room in the Louvre and the Vatican are filled with art. I almost got tired taking pictures!
