Friends I’ve Never Met Part Five

Imagine my delight in talking about and sharing another blogger with my name!

Claudias are few and far between in this world. My friend Claudia blogs over at Claudia McGill and Her Art World. She is an artist of many talents — she makes tiny houses, enamel work, collages, painting, artist books how can she change from world to world, each one different from the other, yet be so consistent with her concentration and quality?

I enjoy watching Claudia wear all her hats. I get so many ideas from her. Some for me, some for future blogs. All the same circle, right?

Do take a trip over to visit Claudia McGill land check out all the things she’s tried!

Long Live Claudias!

  1. Thank you so much for featuring me and my artwork. Being a Claudia is wonderful, in my opinion! As you say, long live Claudias! As for my art, I view it as a journey or an evolution – I explore and find new things and keep hold of what I’ve learned along the way at the same time. A good life!

    1. I want to be like you! Once I finish my Angel Tears for the craft show I’m going to try something new too! Last fall I went up north with the fishing guys.. I was alone all day every day.. so I proceeded to do 13 sketches with colored pencils and sparkle rhinestones markers. That was so much fun! So here’s to Claudia’s exploring the Art world together!

      1. Doing new things keeps me going and it sounds the same for you. There is no way to explain all the good that making art can do for a person. I look forward to seeing what you are up to next.

  2. Thanks for the mention and the kind compliments and support! I have always loved my name and that it was rare and special, and I also always love meeting another Claudia because we know what it is to be…Claudia! Thank you so much for your words on my art – I like to try new things and to keep moving on my art journey, always taking along what I have learned and seeing what happens!

  3. Thanks for sharing Claudia’s works!!

For awhile, I have a neighbor who shared my legal first name, plus 2 who’s first names are my middle name. Another neighbor with my first name moved away. But 2 guys, next door to each other, have the same first name. All very weird!!

    1. I have to admit I’ve come across few Claudia’s in my life. One was in high school. Now that I think about it, that’s about all. Maybe it will make a comeback with names of the 50s! It is odd and different — but not as odd and different as some of today’s names!

    1. I’m glad you think so. Like some other friends, I am fascinated by people who delve into multiple art forms and do them all well. Perhaps there is some longing to do the same. I’ve never tried collage — that might be one. I’m not a ceramics person but I also enjoy painting. I do do some doodling that would make wonderful journal edges, but my journaling days are over. So I really enjoy watching and learning from others who are multi talented.
