I love it when I connect with my readers through commonalities not thought of ahead of time.
Whether it’s someone who has seen something I’ve highlighted in person (like a Chihuly glass sculpture or a Monet painting) or someone who has visited the same places I have (Wisconsin in general, Milwaukee Irish Fest or Dr. Evermoor’s in particular), I love when friends reach out and tell me “I’ve been there too!”
I had a wonderful response the other day to my post in here about David Hockney, an English painter, one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. They drove to Saltaire near Bradford, England. They visited Salts Mill, a former textile mill, now an art gallery and shopping center, which was home to a David Hockney exhibition.
How wonderful it is when someone connects with me somewhere on the cosmic highway!
That’s why I love hearing from you. Relating to you relating to me. Having fun with this whole circle of discovery and creativity and art and getting older.
